Our aim is to be all things castle, whether you're looking for a quiet day out, exciting reenacting days, guided tours or anything else, this is the place to look.
There are hundreds of books about castles in Wales, but look at any OS map and you'll see forts, mottes and moats unmentioned in most.
Our project

As well as providing everything you need to know about castles here in Wales, we also have a long term project, to colate a photographic record of every fortification in Wales, from Iron Age hillforts, Roman camps, Norman mottes, Victorian forts, and everything in between. In the process we will act as an information hub of fortified sites in Wales, organising tours, promotng events and building a shop, all to help promote the fortified, often forgotten history of Wales.
